From bedroom start-up to industry stardom, Matt’s entrepreneurial journey began at 18 when Clownfish Events was born. In those early days, DJ equipment lived in a Homebase shed, was carted around in Dad’s Toyota Previa, and ‘working from home’ wasn’t just an option - it was the only option.

Sixteen years later, Clownfish has disrupted the corporate events space and is known for outstanding service, refreshingly epic creativity, and - most importantly – unrivalled workplace culture. Like the name suggests, there’s nothing bland about this place.

As the founder, Matt proudly calls himself the ‘Head of Team Flourishment’ (yes, it’s a made-up word, but a very real concept). In fact, he spends more time focusing on his 20 colleagues than he does on the bottom line.

His latest crowning achievement? Becoming officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’. And after smashing company targets in 2024, he took the entire team on a celebratory trip to Marrakesh in January. (It’s worth YouTubing that video.)

Matt splits his time between London and West Wittering, mentors 18-30 year olds every week and lives by his professional tagline: We Bring The Happy.
