As co-founder of isla, the UK’s events industry sustainability body, Ben rooted the organisation in science-based initiatives and led the creation of the TRACE platform, a carbon footprint tool for events. With a 20 year events background across festivals, corporate and experiential for global clients such as Adidas, Oakley and The Economist, his expertise encompasses practical event production alongside a deep understanding of carbon and Net-Zero and a passion for keeping communication simple. His talent for explaining complicated technical production in layman’s terms translates through to making event sustainability simpler and easy to follow for everyone. His hobbies include cold water swimming, trying to be a fun Dad and being a data nerd.
