The Great Yorkshire Events Centre has appointed Manchester-based consultancy Catch the MICE as their UK Representation as part of its ambitious strategy to showcase and grow its meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE) offering.
Following a recent rebrand that consolidates Pavilions of Harrogate and Yorkshire Event Centre under one comprehensive identity, The Great Yorkshire Events Centre is poised to capitalise on its 340-acre site, offering flexible spaces for anything from board meetings and conferences to large-scale outdoor events accommodating up to 50,000 attendees.
“I have personally worked with Stuart in the past in a representation capacity and know that with his experience, drive and connections—as well as the supporting technical expertise— we are in safe hands when it comes to turning on vital MICE business for the venue,” said Fiona Stilborn, Group Head of Sales at The Great Yorkshire Events Centre.
“Our new branding unites everything under one umbrella and clearly communicates our unique advantage: all profits from our events fund the vital work of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS). We’re thrilled to have Catch the MICE on board to help us take this prestigious venue to new markets.”
Stuart Mitchell, Managing Director of Catch the MICE, added: “The Great Yorkshire Events Centre has the scale, flexibility and heritage to appeal to a wide range of organisers, from large exhibitions to intimate gatherings. We’re particularly excited to highlight its green credentials, 2,000 on-site parking spaces, and the rich tradition of supporting agriculture and education through the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. It’s a privilege to bring our network and expertise to such a forward-thinking venue.”
This partnership marks the next phase of The Great Yorkshire Events Centre’s long-term plan to attract new segments of the MICE market, boost utilisation of its indoor and outdoor spaces, and align with corporate responsibility objectives. Future developments also include a continued focus on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles to enhance biodiversity and carbon capture on the showground.
