This Next Thing: A Multi-sensory Mountain Experience

In this session, I will share details of This Next Thing, an experiential event in the Swiss Alps. TNT had 150 leaders from the tech world choose a starter city: Zurich, Milan, or Innsbruck, where they got to know an initial group during the warmup event. The next day, all three groups travelled together to Pontresina in the Swiss Alps, where there were two days of programming. This included keynote sessions from industry veterans and newcomers alike. There were wine-tasting, coffee-tasting, and food-tasting experiences. There was underground bowling, poker, and karaoke.

I will talk about where the ideas came from, why building a multi-sensory experience is both inclusive and effective, and why I think all events should have a healthy mix of talks and extra-curricular content.
